Sundome ( Japanese す ん ド め , eng. "Stopping shortly before the goal") is a manga series by Kazuto Okada , which was released from 2005 to 2009 in Japan. The work, which can be classified into the genres of his own , action and comedy , was translated into several languages and adapted in the form of four feature films.

The series revolves around the student Hideo Aiba ( 相 羽 英 男 ) and his relationship with his classmate Kurumi Sahana ( 早 華 胡桃 ). After Hideo becomes chairman of the Roman Club ( 浪漫 倶 楽 部 , Roman Kurabu ), a school club that deals with the supernatural, Kurumi comes to the school as an exchange student and as the first female member of the club. She can easily seduce Hideo and repeatedly gives him erotic promises for which he should fulfill tasks. So he should pass tests of courage or do more with the club. Not only does Hideo's affection for Kurumi grow, but so does his self-confidence and character.

The series appeared from issue No. 1/2006 from December 13, 2005 to No. 21/2009 from October 13, 2009 in Young Champion magazine in Japan. The publisher Akita Shoten brought the chapter out in eight anthologies. English, Spanish and Chinese translations also appeared. A German version has been published by Panini since February 2014 ; 7 volumes have been published so far.
Adaptations
The manga was first implemented as a film in Japanese cinemas on November 20, 2007 as Sundome . This was followed by Sundome 2 and Sundome 2 in 2008 and finally on November 6, 2009 Sundome 4 as the last film. In all four Real films led Daigo Udagawa Director. Hideo Aiba was played by Atsushi Ninomiya and Kurumi Sahana from the gravure idol (erotic model) Akane Suzuki.
