Suomen Hiihtoliitto
The Suomen Hiihtoliitto is the Finnish ski association based in Helsinki and Lahti . He is a member of the FIS and represents the disciplines of cross-country skiing , ski jumping and Nordic combined for Finland . The alpine skiing and freestyle skiing sections are merged in the Ski Sport Finland association .
history
The association was founded in 1908 under the name Liitto Suomen hiihtourheilun edistämiseksi . The first chairman was Lennart Munck Af Flukila. The association got its current name in 1931. Matti Sundberg has been chairman since 2009 .
The association organizes the national championships in ski jumping, cross-country skiing and Nordic combined.
