Rebellion the Recaller

Rebellion the Recaller (also Rebellion Da Recaller or Rebellion , actually Bafoday Drammeh or Bafode Dramé ; * 1979 in Paris , France ) is a Gambian reggae singer .

Life

Rebellion the Recaller was born in France to West African immigrants. From the age of eleven he lived in the Gambia . There he was a member of the band The Inspired Ones before starting his solo career. In 1997 he published the title One For One , which was a great success in his home country. His first album was released on cassette in 1999 and was titled Departing From These Days . At the Gambian Rap Awards 1999 he was named the best solo artist in the country.

In 2003 Rebellion the Recaller came to Germany . In 2004, his first single, We must Rebel, was released in Germany. The title had already been published in Gambia on Departing From These Days . An album co-produced by Bobby Digital followed in 2008. In addition, Rebellion the Recaller also appeared as a guest singer on records by D-Flame , Dodo , Phenomden , Mono & Nikitaman and Gentleman . Today he lives in Berlin . He is a devout Muslim .
