The Super Ratones , also known as Los Súper Ratones , are an Argentine rock band.

history

The group was founded in 1985 by José Luis "Person" Properzi (drums, vocals), Oscar Granieri (guitar, vocals) and Fernando Blanco (bass, vocals) as Los Ratones in Mar del Plata . Her musical role models lie with rock groups of the 1960s such as the Beach Boys , the Beatles and rock 'n' roll musicians such as Elvis Presley and Jerry Lee Lewis . After winning a talent competition and the growth of Mario Barassi (guitar), her debut album Rock de la Playa was released in 1990 on the Barca Discos label. It received a gold and platinum record and the band then toured all of South America. This was followed by the albums Segundo tiempo , Aire para respirar , which was recorded at Sun Studios in Memphis , and Reciclable . The latter contained the single Con cariño, yo , which entered the top 5 of the Argentine charts. In 1997 the group received a contract with EMI . The album Autopistas y túneles was released in 1998 and again met with a very positive response. In 1999 the band appeared as the opening act for Blur at Luna Park in Buenos Aires . Following the release of the LP Mancha registrada in 2000, tours of Uruguay , Paraguay , Spain and the USA followed . The single Decime que tehicieron , which was released from the album , again reached the top 10 of the Argentine charts. The group also received a Latin Grammy nomination . From 2003 further concerts followed in North and South America and in Europe. As part of the 2006 World Cup , the Super Ratones played concerts in Germany.
