Superbe (ship)
The Superbe was a French warship with 74 cannons arranged in two rows. It was built according to the plans of the architect Jacques-Noël Sané . It owed its great maneuverability to its great experience in shipbuilding. It was built in Brest from 1782 and was launched in 1784. 700 men were part of the crew. The Superbe was part of Admiral Villaret Joyeuse's fleet . The ship sank during a storm in 1795.
