Supercalc ( proper spelling SuperCalc ) was originally a spreadsheet for microcomputers with the CP / M operating system developed by the Californian company Sorcim from 1980 . It was also very successful under DOS . Extensions for the financial calculation were offered by third-party providers. Supersheet was available from G&G Engineering to graphically display the data.

Since the takeover by CA Technologies in 1984 , the product has been developed into Supercalc 4 and 5. The last version appeared in 1993 for Windows 3.1 .

In the GDR, a comparable program was offered as "KP" (calculation program) by the Robotron combine under the SCP operating system , a CP / M 2.2 derivative , on various 8-bit microcomputers.
