The Surtees TS7 was a Formula 1 racing car that the Surtees team used in the 1970 Formula 1 World Championship.

The TS7 was the first Formula 1 racing car from Surtees. John Surtees came up with the idea for the car himself; the design and construction work was carried out by Peter Connew and Shahab Ahmed. The two designers followed the Surtees TS5 chassis , the Formula 5000 car from 1969. Externally, however, the two racing cars had nothing in common. The TS7 was narrow, the aluminum monocque was made in the shape of a bathtub that was common at the time. The vehicle had the DFV V8 engine from Cosworth and a DG-300 gearbox from Hewland . The front wing was in the shape of a delta.

The total weight was already very light at 553 kg, the second car, which was finished in late summer 1970, was 20 kg lighter. The TS7 raced for the first time at the British Grand Prix at Brands Hatch . John Surtees finished seventh and narrowly missed a world championship point. At the Canadian Grand Prix , he was fifth and scored two points. Before that, Surtees had already won the Gold Cup at Oulton Park. The TS7 was replaced by the TS9 in 1971 .
