Susan Deacon

Susan Catherine Deacon , CBE (born February 2, 1964 in Musselburgh ) is a Scottish politician and member of the Labor Party .

In the Scottish parliamentary elections in 1999 and 2003 , she won the mandate clearly in the constituency of Edinburgh East and Musselburgh as a direct candidate . At the 2007 parliamentary elections Deacon has not raced for more. Her successor Norman Murray lost the constituency to Kenny MacAskill of the Scottish National Party (SNP). Deacon was Minister of Health and Welfare from 1999 to 2001. In 2017 she was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire .
