plant

Susanna Messerschmidt designs her works and installations for the most part with self-molded and cast colored latex objects of various sizes. These are not casts of existing forms, but the objects are based on organic forms in their design. The intense coloring of the objects is intended to emphasize their artificiality. Her first exhibition projects are characterized by space-consuming installations that repeatedly refer to the idiosyncratic formative power of nature and our civilizational relationship to it.
