Susumu Watanabe ( Japanese 渡 邉 晋 , Watanabe Susumu ; born October 10, 1973 in Tokyo Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .
Career
Watanabe learned to play soccer on the Toin Gakuen High School school team and the Komazawa University college team . He signed his first contract with Consadole Sapporo in 1996 . The club played in the second highest league in the country, the Japan Football League . For the club he played eight games. In 1997 he moved to league competitor Ventforet Kofu . For the club he completed 120 games. In 2001 he moved to league rivals Vegalta Sendai . In 2001 he was runner-up in the J2 League with the club and was promoted to the J1 League . At the end of the 2003 season, the club was relegated to the J2 League. For the club he completed 53 games. At the end of 2004 he ended his career as a soccer player.
