The Suuri-Onkamo [ ˈsuːri ˈɔŋkɑmɔ ] ("Great Onkamo") is a lake in eastern Finland . It lies on the border of the municipalities of Rääkkylä and Tohmajärvi in the North Karelia region .
The Suuri-Onkamo has an area of 32.11 square kilometers and is located at an altitude of 77 meters above sea level. To the east of the lake is the village of Onkamo. In the north, the Suuri-Onkamo is connected to the lake Pieni-Onkamo ("Little Onkamo") by a narrow sound . In the east, an isthmus separates it from Lake Särkijärvi .
