Suzy Creamcheese

Suzy Creamcheese is a fictional character who appears on several Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention albums . Suzy Creamcheese was embodied by different women on the different albums: on Freak Out! by Jeannie Vassoir, on Absolutely Free and Mothermania by Lisa Cohen, and on We're Only in It for the Money and Uncle Meat by Pamela Zarubica.

On the back of the Freak Out! shows a letter from Suzy Creamcheese from Salt Lake City , in which she says that she was warned about the “Mothers”: “These Mothers are crazy. [...] None of the kids at my school like these mothers ... specially since my teacher told us what the words to their songs meant. "(German: These mothers are crazy. [...] Nobody at our school likes these mothers ... especially since my teacher explained to us what the lyrics of their songs mean. Below is a picture of the band with the speech bubble: “Suzy Creamcheese, what's got into you?” (German: What just got into you ? )

The name "Suzy Creamcheese" has been quoted by other bands and in films:

  • "Requiem for Suzy Creamcheese" is a track on the album Psychedelia — A Musical Light Show (1967) by The Mesmerizing Eye.
  • The band "Teddy & His Patches" released a track called "Suzy Creamcheese" (1967).
  • The Caesars had a track called "Suzy Creamcheese" on their album Youth Is Wasted on the Young (1998).
  • Martin Scorsese's 1995 film Casino mentions a Las Vegas boutique called Susy Creamcheese that actually existed. The owner was called Susy Creamcheeze.
  • In the film Tenderness (2009) the person "Suzy Creamcheese" is mentioned.
