Svante Rasmuson (born November 18, 1955 in Uppsala ) is a former Swedish modern pentathlon who won two Olympic medals.

Rasmuson began his sporting career as a swimmer, at the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal he reached the semifinals in 100-meter freestyle swimming, but was the last to drop out. Four years later at the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow, he competed in the modern pentathlon, where he could show his best performances in fencing, swimming and cross-country running. After he was 40th far behind in riding, he was still able to catch up in his strong disciplines and with 5373 points missed Pawel Lednjow's bronze medal by just nine points. With Lennart Pettersson and George Horvath , Rasmuson won the bronze medal in the team competition behind the teams from the Soviet Union and Hungary.

Four years later at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, the Swedish team finished tenth. In the individual competition, Rasmuson fought for the gold medal with Daniele Masala , in the end he won the silver medal, thirteen points behind. Rasmuson competed again in Seoul in 1988 , but with 22nd place in the individual ranking and twelfth place with the team, he could no longer intervene in the battle for the medals.
