Sven Halvar Löfgren

Sven Halvar Löfgren (born March 1, 1910 in Varnum , † June 19, 1978 ) was a Swedish doctor .

Löfgren studied medicine at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm . He defended his dissertation in 1946. His entire medical career took place at St. Göran's Hospital in Stockholm. In 1971 Löfgren received the title of professor, an unusual honor for a doctor working outside of a university.

Is named after the Löfgren Löfgren syndrome , a form of sarcoidosis .
