Svenja Stadler (* 26. August 1976 in Oldenburg (Oldenburg) ) is a German politician of the SPD . She has been a member of the German Bundestag since October 22, 2013 .

Life

Stadler left the Liebfrauenschule in Oldenburg in 1997 with the Abitur. She then trained as an advertising clerk with a focus on PR and worked as a PR consultant and team leader in Hamburg from 2000 to 2013 .

Stadler joined the SPD in 1994 and took on various functions in the party.

In the 2013 Bundestag election , she ran for the direct mandate in the Harburg constituency and moved into parliament via 8th place on the state list. Since then she has been chairwoman of the SPD parliamentary group in the subcommittee on civic engagement and spokeswoman for the SPD parliamentary group for civic engagement. In the 2017 federal election , Stadler again entered the Bundestag via the state list. She is a full member of the Committee on Family, Seniors, Women and Youth and the Subcommittee on Civic Engagement. She is also a deputy member of the Budget Committee and the Digital Agenda Committee. In the local elections in Lower Saxony in 2016 , she moved into the Harburg district council and the Fleestedt, Glüsingen, Beckedorf, Metzendorf local council.

She is also the chairwoman of the board of trustees of the maternal recovery organization .

Stadler is married and has two children.
