Svet kompjutera ( Cyrillic Свет компјутера ; German for world of computers ) is a monthly Serbian IT magazine.

It is published by Politika ad , one of the largest Serbian publishers, which also publishes the oldest Serbian daily newspaper Politika . Outside Serbia, the magazine is distributed in all successor states of Yugoslavia, but you can also subscribe to it worldwide.

The magazine consists of at least 128 pages; advertising makes up 30% to 35% of the magazine.

The editorial team consists mostly of young, middle-aged authors, on average 26 years old.

history

The first issue of the magazine came out in October 1984. Initially, the magazine reported on the home computers that were very popular at the time, such as the C64 , ZX Spectrum, etc. a. The contents of the booklet are news and tests of hardware and software.

Some well-known people from the Serbian (or at that time Yugoslavian) computer scene worked as editors for the magazine.

During 1986, when the home computer business was booming, special editions of the magazine were published. Games were tested under the name Svet igara ( Eng . World of Games). 14 issues have appeared to date. In the same year a Russian special was published. This was sold in the Soviet Union . In 1988 Svet Kompjutera organized a small computer fair in the center of Belgrade . It became known as Computer '88 .
