OAO Svyazinvest (Eng. Transkription Swjasinwest) was Russia 's largest telecommunications company based in Moscow . As a holding company, Svyazinvest included several telecommunications companies. The company was a state-owned company. Svyazinvest was founded in November 1994. Sections were privatized and floated on the stock exchange in the late 1990s. The company was listed on the London Stock Exchange under the symbol "SSA" , under the symbol "AFKS" on the Russian Trading System (RTS), under the symbol "AFKC" on the Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange ( MICEX ) and under the symbol "SIST “ Listed on the Moscow Stock Exchange (MSE).
As part of the preparation of the privatization of state-owned companies, Svyazinvest became part of Rostelekom on October 1, 2013 .
