Sibirtelekom ( Russian Сибирьтелеком ) was a telecommunications company in Russia based in Novosibirsk , which is listed in the RTS index on the Russian Trading System .
The company was a subsidiary of the state holding company Svyazinvest . Since April 1, 2011, the company has been a branch of the all-Russian telecommunications company Rostelekom with the name Sibir .
The company was founded on June 1, 1992 and covers around 29 percent of the territory of Russia in the field of its services.
The company had 2006 sales of approximately $ 883 million and earnings of approximately $ 52 million (preliminary figures).
