The Swakoppforte Dam (officially English Swakoppoort Dam ) is a dam in Namibia , around 50 kilometers west of Okahandja . The Swakoppforte dam was completed in 1978 as an arch dam . Its reservoir has a capacity of around 63.489 million m³ . It is one of three dams that supply the capital Windhoek with drinking water.
