SyMon Boot Manager is a small partition and boot manager that is completely written in assembler code and thus requires very little memory space for its installation . The program makes it possible to create up to 36 partitions on a hard disk , and up to 20 operating systems can be organized on these partitions . Despite its small size, the program has a pseudo-graphical user interface and is equipped with numerous functions.
Its special properties include:
- Independence from operating systems : the program can even be run if no operating system is installed.
- High flexibility: the program can boot any operating system that is also bootable with the standard boot loader .
- Recovery function: a sequential scan of the hard disk finds lost partitions .
- Extensive online documentation in German.
- No separate partition necessary: the program is usually installed in track 0 of a hard drive , if there are conflicts with other software , it can be installed in track 1 as an option .
- Built-in disk editor
- Built-in password - Module
- Open plug-in API : enables the basic functionality to be expanded using plug-ins .
The program was developed by Vladimir Dashevsky and is free. The current version is R3.21.
