Sylvana Rapti
Sylvana Rapti ( Greek Συλβάνα Ράπτη , born November 10, 1958 in Corfu ) is a Greek politician of the Panellinio Sosialistiko Kinima .
Life
Rapti studied economics at the University of Athens , graduating with a diploma. For several years she was editor for educational issues and journalist for the magazines Ta Nea and To Vima , especially for politics and social issues. For more than twenty years she was the editor-in-chief of O Ipopsifios , a supplement to the Ta Nea for university applicants. At the same time, she was a newscaster for the television station ET-2 from 1982 to 1990 . In 1994 she published the first study guide in Greece.
From 1982 to 1986, Rapti, who held several important functions in PASOK, was a councilor in Athens . From 2004 to 2009 she was a member of the Greek Parliament, where she represented the first Athens constituency. Rapti has been a member of the European Parliament since 2009 .
