Symington House is a villa in Scotland . It is located near the village of Symington in the South Lanarkshire Council Area . In 1971 the building was included in the Scottish List of Monuments in the highest category A.

Construction of the villa began in 1915. The Scottish architect Andrew Noble Prentice is responsible for the design . Prentice was the brother of the builder Thomas Prentice . The woodwork was carried out by the Glaswegian craftsman James Grant . The design had already been presented in the Academy Architecture magazine last year .

Symington House is isolated on Schoolhouse Road about one kilometer east of Symington. The property borders the Clyde in the south . The country villa is designed in the neo- Georgian style .
