Symone Hengy

Symone Hengy (born Symone Postel in Dresden on March 22, 1965 ) is a German writer .

Life

Hengy grew up near Meissen . She completed an engineering degree at the " SW Lebedew " engineering school in Fürstenwalde / Spree and then worked as a manager in the Meißen district administration.

After the collapse of the GDR , she first retrained as a tax clerk, then as a web designer and finally as an insurance specialist, but also worked as a librarian, event planner for an art association and as a local guide in a tourist office.

Since then she has mainly worked as an author.

In May 1994 she married Michael Hengy from Baden-Württemberg. Together they raised two children from previous relationships, Amanda Hengy (born 1986) and Steve Hengy (born 1989). The couple now live in the Black Forest .

Since June 2014 several crime novels have been published by various publishers (now all Hybrid Verlag).

Symone Hengy has been an honorable member of the authors' association of German-language crime literature Das SYNDIKAT eV and the Mörderische Schwestern eV since 2017 .
