Symposium Aristotelicum

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Symposium Aristotelicum is a three-yearly symposium of proven Aristotle researchers. The conference series was founded in 1957 by the Aristotle experts Ingemar Düring from Sweden and GEL Owen from Great Britain . This is a closed event organized by experts, which can only be attended by invitation from the scientific committee. Since 1969, every symposium has been dedicated to a specific work by Aristotle ; since 1993, the scheduled work has been read in full and, after lectures by specialists on individual sections of the work or specific questions, discussed in detail in the plenum.
