history
Since 1904 there have been various ideas to build a new synagogue in the city. In December 1911 the Jewish community of Baden bought a piece of land on Parkstrasse opposite the Kurhaus Baden . Several architects applied for the construction of the synagogue. The Baden architect Otto Dorer (1851–1920) was commissioned. Together with his partner Adolf Füchslin (1850–1925) he designed a central building with large semicircular windows and a richly decorated interior. The synagogue was inaugurated on September 2, 1913.
