architecture
Object no. 19 is the former residential building of a former courtyard in Giesenkirchen. At its core a half-timbered house , on the street a two-storey, massive facade construction that was later redesigned. To the right of the house is a courtyard entrance with a barn door and a separate entrance wing that was added in the 19th century , behind which stables and farm buildings are grouped around a courtyard.
On the left side of the street is a somewhat recessed building with a saddle roof made of brick masonry. This was obviously a former rural dance hall , which was added to the main house serving as a restaurant building . To the north of the dance hall is a single-storey extension with a flat roof . Next to it the historic old beer garden , which is still marked today by a group of trees made up of seven chestnuts .
The two-storey five-window residential building with an entrance located in the middle of the street has a half-hipped roof . The south-eastern gable , to which the younger commercial entrance is built, consists of a timber frame construction with masonry infill.
