The synagogue in Baiersdorf , a town in the central Franconian district of Erlangen-Höchstadt ( Bavaria ), was built in 1711 and destroyed in 1938. The synagogue was in Judengasse .

history

The construction was financed by the court factor Samson Salomon, who also supported the construction of the synagogue in Bruck with a loan. The inauguration took place on September 14, 1711, for the Jewish New Year festival 5472. An inscription in the vestibule commemorated the donor.

During the November pogrom in 1938 , the synagogue was demolished and the entire inventory was destroyed. The synagogue was demolished a little later.

After 1945 a residential and commercial building was built on the property. A memorial plaque was put up in 1986.
