Synagogue in Holten

The synagogue in Holten , today a district of Oberhausen in North Rhine-Westphalia , was built in 1858. The secular synagogue stands on the rear part of the property at Mechthildisstrasse 7a, the former Kirchstrasse, and is a protected monument .

The synagogue was used until the 1920s and then sold by the Holten Jewish community . The building was converted into a residential building by the new owner.
