Synagogue (Arlon)
The synagogue in Arlon , a Belgian city in the Wallonia region , was built between 1863 and 1865. The synagogue in the Romanesque Revival style, designed by architect Albert Jamot was built, came in 2005 as Patrimoine majeur de Wallonie on the monument list .
The building on Rue de la Synagogue was used as a straw warehouse during the Second World War . The Torah scrolls were kept by the caretaker during this time.
The renovation of the synagogue is urgently needed, but cannot be financed for the small Jewish community without donations and grants.
