The synagogue in Kuldīga (German Goldingen ), a city in western Latvia , was built in 1875/76. The derelict synagogue has the address 1905 gada, 6.

With the attack on the Soviet Union on June 22, 1941, the entire territory of Latvia came under the control of National Socialist Germany until July 8, 1941. This began the annihilation of almost all of the local Jewish population.

The synagogue building was used as a warehouse after the Second World War and converted into a cinema in 1958 . The former synagogue has been renovated in recent years and the city library has been set up in it.
