The synagogue in Meseritz (Polish: Międzyrzecz ), a Polish city in the Lubusz Voivodeship , was built between 1825 and 1827. The synagogue at Piotr Skarga 4 is a protected cultural monument .

history

In 1824 a great fire destroyed the Jewish quarter, including the synagogue built around 1790. The new synagogue was built on the same spot in the classicist style. The synagogue building was renovated at the end of the 1920s.

During the November pogrom in 1938 , the synagogue remained almost untouched, after which it was used as a storage room.

The synagogue building has been fundamentally renovated by a private investor in recent years and is used as a commercial and office building.
