Synagogue district Eberswalde

The synagogue district of Eberswalde , based in Eberswalde , today the district town of the Barnim district in the northeast of Brandenburg , was created according to the Prussian Jewish Law of 1847 .

The Jewish community in Eberswalde was expanded into a synagogue district and the Jews living in the country joined them. In 1853 there were 27 men, 26 women, 16 children over 14 years of age and 36 among them living in the synagogue district of Eberswalde. In 1855, elections for the board and representatives of the synagogue district took place for the first time.
