Synagogue Choir Zurich

The synagogue choir in Zurich , the capital of the canton of the same name in Switzerland , was founded in 1884.

The choir is supported by the Israelitische Cultusgemeinde Zürich .

The choir sings once a month in the synagogue on Löwenstrasse in the service on Shabbat morning and on major public holidays. In addition, the choir sings at interdenominational events and gives concerts at home and abroad. The choir's repertoire consists mainly of synagogal songs and chasan accompaniments by German, French, Polish and Russian composers of the 19th century.
