Cugny is a French municipality with 606 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Aisne department in the region of Hauts-de-France ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Quentin and the canton of Ribemont (until 2015: canton of Saint-Simon ).

Cugny is about 14 kilometers southwest of Saint-Quentin on the Sommette . Cugny is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Ollezy in the north, Annois in the east, La Neuville-en- bein in the south, Beaumont-en-bein in the west and southwest and Sommette-Eaucourt in the west and northwest.
