Fresnoy-le-Grand is located in the north of the department, about 15 kilometers northeast of Saint-Quentin . Fresnoy-le-Grand is surrounded by the neighboring communities Brancourt-le-Grand in the north and north-west, Bohain-en-Vermandois in the north and north-east, Seboncourt in the east, Étaves-et-Bocquiaux in the south-east, Croix-Fonsomme in the south and south-west as well Montbrehain to the west.
