geography
The parish is crossed by the Sambre-Oise Canal and an arm of the Oise . Alaincourt is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Urvillers in the northwest, Berthenicourt in the northeast, Séry-lès-Mézières in the east, Brissy-Hamégicourt in the southeast, Moÿ-de-l'Aisne in the southwest and Cerizy in the west.
