Urvillers is about six kilometers south of Saint-Quentin on a plateau between the rivers Aisne and Somme . Urvillers is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Gauchy in the north, Neuville-Saint-Amand in the north and northeast, Itancourt in the east and northeast, Berthenicourt in the east and southeast, Alaincourt in the southeast, Cerizy in the south, Benay in the south and southwest, Essigny-le- Grand to the west and southwest and Grugies to the northwest.

The A26 autoroute runs through the municipality .
