The village is located around 39 kilometers north of Laon and 17 kilometers east of Saint-Quentin . Mont-d'Origny is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Origny-Sainte-Benoite from southeast to southwest, Neuvillette (Aisne) in the west and the communities of Bernot in the canton of Guise in the north-west, Hauteville in the north and Macquigny in the north-east.
