Maissemy is about nine kilometers west-northwest of Saint-Quentin on the Omignon . Maissemy is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Le Verguier in the north, Pontru in the east and northeast, Gricourt in the east and southeast, Holnon in the south, Vermand in the west and southwest and Vendelles in the northwest.
