Brissay-Choigny is a French municipality with 303 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Aisne department in the region of Hauts-de-France (before 2016 Picardy ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Saint-Quentin , to the canton of Ribemont (until 2015 Moÿ-de-l'Aisne ) and to the municipal association Val de l'Oise .

geography

The village is bordered to the west by a tributary of the Oise . Brissay-Choigny is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Vendeuil in the west, Moÿ-de-l'Aisne on a short section in the northwest, Brissy-Hamégicourt in the north, Renansart in the east and the communities Anguilcourt-le-Sart in the canton of Tergnier in the southeast and Mayot in the south.

In 1790 the municipalities of Brissay and Choigny merged to form the municipality of Brissay-Choigny.
