The village of Artemps is on the left bank of the Somme and on the Saint-Quentin Canal, northwest of Laon and south of Saint-Quentin . Artemps is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Tugny-et-Pont in the west, Happencourt in the north-west, Seraucourt-le-Grand in the north-east, Clastres in the south-west and Saint-Simon in the south.
