Régny is about 13 kilometers east-southeast of Roanne on the Rhins River . Régny is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Montagny in the north, Saint-Victor-sur-Rhins in the east, Amplepuis in the southeast, Lay and Saint-Symphorien-de-Lay in the south, Neaux in the southwest and Pradines in the west.
