Pradines is about nine kilometers east-southeast of Roanne . The river Rhins forms the southern boundary of the municipality. Pradines is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Perreux in the north and north-west, Montagny in the north-east, Régny in the east, Neaux in the south and Notre-Dame-de-Boisset in the west and south-west.
