Parigny is a French municipality with 609 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loire in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the arrondissement of Roanne in the canton of Le Coteau (until 2015: canton of Perreux ). Parigny is a member of the Association of Municipalities Roanne Agglomération . The inhabitants are called Parignyciens .

Parigny is located about five kilometers south-southeast of Roanne . Parigny is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Le Coteau in the north, Saint-Vincent-de-Boisset in the northeast, Notre-Dame-de-Boisset in the east, Saint-Cyr-de-Favières in the south and Commelle-Vernay in the west.
