The inhabitants are called Saint-Jurauds .

Saint-Just-en-Chevalet is about 21 kilometers southwest of Roanne in the Forez . Saint-Just-en-Chevalet is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of La Tuilière in the north and northwest, Cherier in the northeast, Cremeaux in the east, Juré and Saint-Marcel-d'Urfé in the southeast, Saint-Romain-d'Urfe in the south, Chausseterre in the southwest and Saint-Priest-la-Prugne in the west.
