Maizilly is a French municipality with 337 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loire in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Roanne and the canton of Charlieu . The inhabitants are called maizillons .

geography

Maizilly is about 20 kilometers northeast of Roanne . The river Botoret runs along the north-western border of the municipality . Maizilly is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Tancon in the north, Coublanc in the east, Mars in the south, Saint-Denis-de-Cabanne in the west and Saint-Martin-de-Lixy in the north-west.
