Neaux is a French municipality with 480 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loire in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Roanne and the canton of Le Coteau (until 2015: canton of Saint-Symphorien-de-Lay ). The inhabitants are called Novalien (ne) s .
geography
Neaux is about eleven kilometers southeast of Roanne am Gand . In the north, the river Rhins borders the community, into which the Gand flows here. Neaux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Pradines in the north, Régny in the northeast, Saint-Symphorien-de-Lay in the east, Neulise in the south, Vendranges in the west and southwest, Saint-Cyr-de-Favières in the west and Notre-Dame-de- Boisset to the west.
The National Route 7 runs through the municipality .
