Saint-Haon-le-Châtel belongs to the Arrondissement of Roanne and the canton of Renaison (until 2015: canton of Saint-Haon-le-Châtel ).

geography

Saint-Haon-le-Châtel is about twelve kilometers west-northwest of Roanne in the Forez . The river Oudan runs just south of the municipality . Saint-Haon-le-Châtel is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Haon-le-Vieux in the north and Renaison in the south.
