Noailly is a French municipality with 802 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loire in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . Noailly belongs to the Arrondissement of Roanne and the Canton of Renaison (until 2015: Canton of Saint-Haon-le-Châtel ).

Noailly is located about eleven kilometers north-northwest of Roanne on the Teyssonne River and its tributary Cacherat . Noailly is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Melay in the north, La Bénisson-Dieu in the east and northeast, Briennon in the east, Mably in the southeast, Saint-Romain-la-Motte in the south, Saint-Germain-Lespinasse in the southwest, and Saint-Forgeux-Lespinasse in the west and Vivans in the northwest.
