Le Creuset SAS is a French manufacturer of cooking utensils and claims to be the market leader in the cast iron cookware market. The company is managed in the form of a SAS and is based in Fresnoy-le-Grand . The German subsidiary, Le Creuset GmbH, is based in Kirchheim unter Teck in Baden-Württemberg . The cast iron cookware is manufactured exclusively at the headquarters in Fresnoy-le-Grand, France.

It was founded in 1925. Today the company is the world market leader for cookware made of enamelled cast iron. The Le Creuset Group has been owner-managed since 1988 and belongs to Paul van Zuydam. With over 45 of its own sales companies worldwide, the group claims that it has an export share of 90 percent.

  • 1925: Founded by two Belgian industrialists, Armand Desaegher and Octave Aubecq, in Fresnoy-le-Grand in France; The Le Creuset roaster was born

From 2010, branches were established in the Czech Republic (2010) and Austria (2011).
